  1. Ensure that the Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialists are in full regulatory compliance and that clinical services are delivered in accordance with recognized best practices
  2. Provide supervision for Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist staff in accordance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards and agency policy
  3. Provide supervision for Quality Assurance Supervisor and assist them in fulfilling the duties outlined in their job description
  4. Oversee and coordinate Quality Assurance Department to ensure all Department of Mental Health and agency guidelines or adhered to at all times
  5. Provide clinical services to the residential program residents and families as needed
  6. Demonstrate an ability to set limits and intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the children and families served
  7. Support the intake function of the agency by active clinical oversight of all residential admissions to ensure appropriateness of placement
  8. Work with other Department managers to increase clear communication and mutual support between programs
  9. Monitor and assure adherence of programs to all governing bodies
  10. Monitor care records to assure that required treatment documentation is included and meets agency and professional standards
  11. Monitor the milieu for resident safety and work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance the safety of all residents
  12. Monitor and review all agency protocols and practices, including containments, one-on-ones and hospitalizations
  13. Assist Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialists in developing treatment goals which utilize the expertise of child care staff, ensure quality services and are sensitive to cultural issues
  14. Serve as a liaison with the Departments of Child and Family Services and Mental Health
  15. Ensure that the Clinical Services Department is in full regulatory compliance and that clinical services are delivered in accordance with recognized best practices.
  16. Provide clinical supervision for Clinical staff in accordance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards and agency policy.
  17. Assist Clinicians in developing treatment plans which utilize the expertise of child care staff, ensure quality services and are sensitive to cultural issues.
  18. Other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:

Master’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in DMH-contracted mental health settings; 5 years supervisory experience.

Computer/Office Skills Required:

Word Processing, Email, internet, ability to learn clinical software, basic office skills (i.e. typing, telephone, copier)


Physical Skills Required:

Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening; ability to commute to various sites on and off campus; ability to work extended hours as needed; ability to physically restrain children (if needed)
