Villgro is seeking an Ecosystem Development intern for Unconvention.Unconvention is a platform for conversations around social entrepreneurship. What began as an experiment in 2009 in one city soon grew to become a national movement that has traveled to 22 cities across India. Today, Unconvention is an annual feature on the calendar in 14 cities, bringing stories of successful social entrepreneurs, discussions, and debates on key issues that affect and influence impact-creation.

We are looking for an intern with good oral and written communication skills with an interest in the area social entrepreneurship.

Internship duration- November 2017-January 2018

Location-Chennai

Roles and Responsibilities:

? Plan and conduct 3 social impact sessions in each city (Chennai and Hyderabad)

? Screening and shortlisting pitch applications from business plan competition

? Identify sponsors and partners for the national event

? Build a robust database of potential speakers

? Map the ecosystem for impact incubators and investors

? Create a calendar of all social impact conferences in India, across 3 sectors

Support in organizing a national level social enterprise conference

? Identify new sources/platforms/networks to tap into for partnership

? Liaise with speakers and brief them on theme/topic of discussion

Support in other activities related to the planning and execution of the social impact conference

and business plan competition.

Work days - Monday to Friday

Location – Chennai

Compensation - 10,000/month

Duration – November 2017-January 2018 (3 months)
