About the Internship
Industree Foundation is seeking a Social Media Intern to join its team in HSR layout immediately. This person will be responsible for producing, editing, posting and evaluating social media content.
The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, enthusiastic about not just social media but also social impact, and eager to get our incredible stories across to wide audiences. We're looking for a motivated and dynamic team-player with excellent judgment and communication skills.
As an intern, you’ll enjoy the creativity and autonomy of an NGO startup environment with exciting projects happening around India. But most importantly, you’ll work with inspiring colleagues to build tools and create content that helps connect people all over the world to the positive work we are doing to improve artisan livelihoods!
Responsibilities:
Assist Industree Foundation communications team with creating and editing content across platforms and scheduling posts, especially on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and our Wordpress blog.
Read and watch related content and find creative ways to adapt stories and videos from the creative manufacturing and social enterprise fields to our platforms.
Develop a long-term social media strategy with specific targets and implementation plan
Monitor discussions, posts, and comments across multiple social media channels.
Requirements:
Proven organizational and administrative experience.
Excellent content writing skills
Understanding of social platforms (especially Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Wordpress)
Ability to create successful posts that get increased likes, re-posts and shares
An avid user of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Impeccable English, and the ability to speak and write in one or more of the following langues: Kannada, Tamil, Telugu. A good command of Hindi would be a plus.
Knowledge of the social enterprise sector or traditional Indian handicrafts is an advantage
A genuine enthusiasm about the kind of social impact and women’s empowerment work we are doing.
