Position: Sales Intern at Violet Health
Violet Health:
Violet Health is a social impact start-up with a mission to positively disrupt global health challenges and nutrition deficiencies through innovative health products created for and with consumers. With our first product, we aim to tackle the scourge of iron deficiency anemia amongst pregnant women. Developedwith nutritionists, doctors, and pregnant women across India, it's an effective (clinically-tested) and tasty solution for iron deficiency anemia: a culturally appropriate, iron-folic acid supplement in food form. Violet Health will soon be launching our first product in the market to pregnant women through hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. Our work has been supported by USAID “Development Innovation Ventures” and Grand Challenges Canada “Saving Brains”.
We're looking for bright and passionate interns to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to work at a social impact start-up and make a difference in the lives of pregnant women and their children across India!
We are looking for several amazing sales interns excited to be a part of a team to launch and grow a new product to improve the health of women and infants in India. The role/responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Working with the executive team to take ownership of major elements of the launch plan, delivering to set objectives, timelines and evaluation plans
• Organizing appointments and meeting and liaising with doctors, suppliers, pharmacists, and other representatives at points of sale
• Demonstrating or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and pharmacists
• Meeting, interviewing, and presenting products to consumers in different channels
• Collecting, inputting, and analyzing various key metrics
• Passionate about improving the lives of mothers-to-be and infants across India
• Relevant experience in sales, driving organizational and revenue growth
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, charisma and confidence to interact well with others
• Program management or demonstrated leadership
• Ability to manage senior, internal and external stakeholders
• Strong, demonstrable analytical skills
• Demonstrated commitment to social impact
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent team working skills, with proven contribution to team goals and objectives
• Self-starter, capable of taking leadership of managing and growing a program
• Comfortable working without detailed supervision and working in a non-hierarchical, collegial environment where decision-making happens in a collaborative manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and manage a challenging workload
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred
Location: Bangalore
Compensation: Course credit or stipend. *Depending on performance and interest, interns may have the opportunity to becomefull time staff !
