Incubation Manager – Job Description
UnLtd Tamil Nadu, a launch pad for social entrepreneurs based in Auroville.
As Incubation Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the Incubation program: fellow
scouting & selection, fellow support, managing external partner/expert engagement, field reporting, program management/development.
Program management/development
Support annual goal setting & strategy for outreach, selection and quality support across Tamil Nadu
Draft the annual budget to include all operational and one time projects costs
Manage and facilitate a quality support program of workshops & events for fellows and external parties including selections, boot camp, clinics, peer bonding events, retreats
Scouting & selection of new fellows
Devise and implement an outreach strategy to find potential fellows, including relationship management & presentations/workshops/open houses with scouting partners
Maintain a database of potential and rejected fellows & review the selection criteria in light of performance of the previous cohort
Supervise screening, mock & final panel events with shortlisted candidates
Ensure associates & panelists have adequate training on candidate screening processes & criteria
Coach, buddy & expert management
Devise and implement strategy for recruiting talented buddies & coaches to support fellows
Facilitate training opportunities to ensure high quality support & satisfaction of coaching team
Supervise Coaches & Buddies inputs through monthly fellow round & progress tracking
Coordinate with fellows for expert and pro bono engagement
Set milestones in agreement with the fellow and track progress against them
Provide ongoing advisory business support & personal coaching to help realize fellow potential and accelerate growth of his/her venture
Make site visits to fellow location at least twice a year (where appropriate)
Connect fellow with peers, talent, mentors and investors/funders as required
Monitoring & evaluation
Oversee implementation of systems required to track incubation support inputs, investee
outputs/impact and effectiveness of incubation support program
Provide periodic program reports to the Director & Board as per impact indicators
Manage resource bank for fellows, coaches & buddies including entrepreneurial resources, coaching
tools, best practices & case studies
Supervise data collation process for fellows, coaches & buddies outcomes and periodic feedback
Maintain a database of competitions, funding and support opportunities that could benefit fellows
Manage the platform for external engagement, including expert panels, workshops/clinics & on-
At least five years experience in a corporate, start-up or high quality development organization
Experience teaching/coaching preferred
Advanced knowledge of business and financial planning
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Self-starter able to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
Passionate about social change
Fluent English & Tamil
