Teach For India is an organization working to eliminate educational inequity in India. In short, we recruit people from colleges and corporates and place them in a classroom for a period of 2 years, where they hone their leadership skills by teaching the students various subjects full time. We have the following roles open:
1) Senior Manager, City Partnerships: Teach For India embarks on a bold vision to enable 1 Million children gain access to an excellent education over the next few years. Over the next 5 years, Teach For India aims to be 2,400 Fellows and 6,000 Alumni strong across nine regions in the country. Senior Manager - City Partnerships - reporting to the City Director, will lead this challenging and inspiring journey for Teach For India in Bangalore.
2) Manager, City Human Resources and Operations:The Manager, City Human Resources and Operations is the backbone of the Bengaluru site handling multiple responsibilities to ensure smooth operations, strong processes, systems and decision making at scale for the site. This person will be responsible for setting a strong city culture and work closely with the city leadership team to curtail attrition at every level as well as hiring of all open positions. In addition, the person along with the City Director will create an ecosystem of support that allows for the development of every staff member.
3) Manager, City Government Relations: The Manager, City Government Relations will lead Teach for India’s associations with multiple stakeholders in the Government and the Administrative Machinery (Block and District Officials). The Manager constantly focuses on strengthening existing relationships within the system as well as cultivating new champions for the movement among these stakeholders. This role works closely with the internal functions of Teach For India such as Alumni Impact, School/Community Relations and Program to develop win-win opportunities to maximize our impact within and beyond our Fellows' classrooms.
4) Associate, City External Partnerships: The City External Partnerships Associate forms the backbone of Teach For India Bengaluru’s communication and engagement for all external partnerships. This role supports the Alumni, Government and Development (fundraising) verticals in deepening relations with our corporate, government, non-profit and other organizational partners. Lastly, the Associate is pivotal in organizing spaces for our Fellows, Alumni and Staff to collaborate with and learn from our external stakeholders. While the width of interactions offer exposure to the multiple aspects of the system, the focused responsibilities give the Associate an opportunity to build mastery in the skills and mindsets in the role.
5) Associate, College/Corporate Recruitment and Outreach: The Associate, Recruitment and Outreach lays the foundation of the Teach For India movement by sourcing the most outstanding college graduates and working professionals, and informing, investing and inspiring them to join the Fellowship Program. The Associates build the brand of Teach For India nationally by representing our organisation at premier institutions in the country, and play a key role in building enduring partnerships with them. The Recruiter sets the vision and strategy for Fellowship Recruitment and branding in the portfolio. Most importantly, they provide continuous support to prospective Fellows and empower them with the skills, knowledge and mindsets to be prepared for the start of their Fellowship journey.
At its soul, the role revolves around changing mindsets in this country and, as such, presents tremendous opportunity to build leadership and management skills in a fast-paced, results-driven, and challenging team.
6) Intern, EdX Firki Technology: The EdX Intern is responsible for helping help build a collaborative, innovative, and productive community based around the Teacher Training Portal. The Intern will be responsible for updating website, and uploading courses to the portal, and occasionally providing quality support to partner organization who are using Firki. The portal is focused on transforming teaching and learning, and providing quality education for teachers all across India.
