  • Manager- Community Impact (project: United for Road Safety):(1 vacancy)


Job Responsibilities:

To spearhead the three yearlong project for promotion of state of road safety in Mumbai city through collaborative approach
To understand the project objectives, deliverables and create the execution plan for the project
Create specific plan for execution of the project on quarterly basis in alignment with the overall project timelines

To identify the sector expert organizations/ agencies and firm up partnerships with relevant stakeholders (from government, private agencies, NGOs, etc.) for execution of each of the project components
To manage the project team in terms of division of responsibilities, development and monitoring of their Key Result/ Performance Areas
To maintain track of the timeline wise project deliverables and ensure that all the project activities are implemented successfully
To liaise, communicate, interact effectively and manage partnership with the internal and external stakeholders of the project such as; Government agencies (RTO, Traffic Police, BEST, MCGM, etc.), private Players (Various expert agencies working on the project), civil society groups (colleges, NSS, University of Mumbai, NGOs, citizens groups, taximen’s unions, etc.)
To develop/ possess basic knowledge on the field of road safety and be able to guide the project team and give inputs to all the project partners
- To document the project activities and outcomes on regular basis and submit the project status reports to the donor as per the committed timelines
Expected Credentials:

Masters’ degree in social Sciences/ Management/ or any other relevant stream
For Manager’s position: Minimum of five years of work experience- especially in project design, on-ground implementation of the project, etc. Any background or experience of working in the field of road safety will be preferred.
A dynamic and versatile person who can easily connect and effectively work with internal and external stakeholders of the project
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Efficient in Community Outreach and Mobilization
Must be efficient in communicating in English and Hindi (efficiency in Marathi will be preferred)
Candidate must be a team player and should be willing to travel in and around Mumbai for implementing program activities.
