VACANCY OF PROGRAM DIRECTOR IN NEWYORK, UNITED STATES

ORGANIZATION: Weston United Community Renewal, Inc. is a not for profit organization located in Harlem, New York. For over 30 years, Weston United has provided housing and supportive services to participants with histories of chronic homelessness, mental illness, and substance abuse. Weston United employs over 100 employees who contribute to a rich and diverse work environment.


SUMMARY: Responsible for the administration, clinical direction and ensures all consumers receive quality clinical services in Supported Housing and Bronx Star (Supported Transitional Addiction Recovery) programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Ensures that programs maintain full capacity of 148 consumers throughout the fiscal year. Oversee the intake process. Ensures consumers obtain Medicaid, entitlements and are refereed for medical, mental health and substance abuse services required. Ensures successful DOMH and OMH audits. Ensures all contract reports including LOS data are completed accurately and submitted on time. Provide weekly documented supervision to Staff, completes performance evaluation and in-service education training. Regularly accompany staff to visit consumers in the community.

Actively participates in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures ensuring contract compliance with standards established by the agency. Participates in all management meetings, attend monthly Community Board meetings as assigned. Provide, create and monitor all quality improvement systems to ensure that all chart documentation and contract requirements are up to date at all times. Participate in incident review committee. Follow all fiscal procedures, ensures accuracy and submission of all fiscal reports in a timely manner as required. Maintains program staffing pattern, monitors time and attendance, scheduling of staff, approve leave requests and prepare summaries for payroll processing. In consultation with supervisor and HR Manager to recruit, train, orient, promote and discipline staff. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) and CASAC or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and CASAC required with three years progressive supervisory and/or management experience. Candidates must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; experience with AWARDS and/or CARES a plus; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
