Homebuilders is a child and family support service offering services across the West Coast from Karamea in the north to Haast in the south. We are approved by the Ministry for Vulnerable Children – Oranga Tamariki as a level 1 and level 2 provider of social services.
We have positions available based in our Westport and Greymouth offices. If you would like to live on the West Coast - where the scenery and weather (yes, the weather!) are both unbelievably outstanding - we'd like to hear from you.
In the Buller and West Coast we have a wonderful array of activities – surfing, mountain biking, performing arts, carving, local art, craft groups and walking tracks on our doorstep, the options are endless.
We have terrific cafés and restaurants, excellent sports facilities, a wonderful theatre and a supportive village environment.
We need you to be a qualified and registered social worker (or working towards qualification and registration with the NZSWRB), have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
You will have experience working with children and families to sustain strong health, welfare and education outcomes for our children.
The following positions are available:
30 hours per week, with our Social Workers in Schools team based in Westport
40 hours per week, with our Social Workers in Schools team based in Greymouth
