Operations Manager – Job Description
UnLtd Tamil Nadu, a launch pad for social entrepreneurs based in Auroville. UnLtd Tamil Nadu (http://unltdtamilnadu.org) founded in 2013, is an incubator for social entrepreneurs in South India (Auroville, Tamil Nadu) and Affiliate member of the UnLtd India Network.
We SEARCH, SELECT and SUPPORT exceptional individuals who are committed to solve some of India’s biggest challenges using their passion and entrepreneurial skills. As part of our core Incubation program, we offer coaching, mentoring, business and personal development for emerging entrepreneurs (Fellows), build a community of practice through peer learning and nurture a support ecosystem comprised of experts, service providers, and funders who will accelerate their growth.
As Operations Manager, you will be working with the CEO to implement the strategy for the organization, ensure efficient program management and high team performance, maintain overall program quality and ongoing support as needed by the organization. Support CEO in setting organizational goals, milestone planning and periodic review Conduct financial planning and review and prepare annual budgets Maintain systems and processes for task planning, internal organization and communication
Program management
Manage the successful delivery and growth of core programs in alignment with organizational goals
Support core team to achieve program and individual goals and facilitate personal learning
Lead monitoring and review of overall program quality and KPIs
Team management
Devise and implement strategy for recruiting high quality team members including staff planning ,
job postings, screening and induction
Support team goal setting and personal growth planning with individual KPIs
Identify training and development needs and opportunities for high performing team members
Conduct team appraisals and lead review, exit and hand-over processes
Incubation support / coaching
Support incubation team as and when needed: conduct trainings & workshops for fellows, participate in clinics, panels and other support events, review business planning & pitching materials
Coach fellows:
o Set milestones in agreement with the fellow and track progress against them
o Provide ongoing advisory business support & personal coaching to help realize fellow
o Make site visits to fellow location at least twice a year (where appropriate)
o Connect fellow with peers, talent, mentors and investors/funders as required potential and accelerate growth of his/her venture
Data Management
Manage resource bank for team (including incubation support team) to facilitate learning and development opportunities
Supervise knowledge maintenance and online/offline archiving for team and fellows
At least five years experience working in a corporate, start-up or high quality development
Experience teaching/coaching preferred
Advanced knowledge of business and financial planning and budgeting
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
An ability to thrive in an fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
Passionate about social change
Fluent English & Tamil
