Brief on the Organization:
Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Gandhinagar was established in 2007 through an MOU between Government of Gujarat and Public Health Foundation of India. The institute is governed byindependent governing council with representation from Government of Gujarat and Public Health Foundation of India. Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG), is the first of the five institute’s setup by PHFI. Recognized as the 1st Public Health University in the country, the institute is a University established under IIPHG Act 2015 of Gujarat State. Built in a sprawling 50 acre campus (Total Built up Area – 130,000 sq ft.) that was allocated by Government of Gujarat, the foundation stone was laid by the honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi (the then Chief Minister of Gujarat) in 2007. The state-of-the-art new campus of the Indian Institute of Public Health–Gandhinagar (IIPHG), the western regional campus of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) was inaugurated by Sri. Vijaybhai Rupani, Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat inaugurated on 25th October, 2016. The vision of this institute is to become equivalent of IIM or IIT for Public Health.
Project Brief:
The aim of the training program is to equip PHDs with managerial and technical competencies in applied public health concepts, methodologies and skills to enable them to improve access to and optimize the utilization of health services in low performing regions/provinces. The overall impact of the training program is envisaged to improve health outcomes in the low performing regions/provinces/districts by enhancing quality of care and increased utilization of services.
Deliverables:
Desk review of literatures, data and other evidences.
Provideinputs and support in Training Needs Assessment mission.
Support to develop training module development and modifyto Afghanistan context.
Take sessions withlead trainer to train participants in India.
Mentor participants during distance learning support.
Support incountry (Afghanistan mission) for onsite training.
Preparing provincial case studies.
Qualification:
Essential
Master Degree in Healthcare management, Public Health.
Desirable
PhD in management or Public Health or Master Degree in Healthcare management, Public Health.
Experience:
Essential
At least 3 years.
Desirable
Fresher PhD or Masters with More than 3 years.
Annual Salary (CTC) will be based on the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
